This photo shows some men putting out a fire on the roof of The Chippawa Dairy. It was also known as Gilpin’s Dairy after the family that owned it.  This site then became  Dar’s Variety, the Four J’s Variety and is currently an Avondale store.

There will be a poster of a historic photo on site at this location during the summer of 2017.
