In 1820, carriage-maker Alanson Ross arrived in Niagara Falls from Pennsylvania. He joined John Misener in the carriage making business, working from Misener's shop at the corner of Main and Peer Streets. Mr Ross built his residence and establised the Ross Carriage Factory behind the house in 1826. In 1977 it was the Dermody & Hockton Funeral Home and in 2004 it is the location of Patterson Funeral Home.
